Alfred Morris Wasn’t That Tired After All

It might have been jet lag or just a layoff from football activities, but Alfred Morris was tired.

When Morris was mic’d up for Pro Bowl practice In Hawaii, he said he felt like he hadn’t moved around in forever.

 

The coaches might have slept on Morris in the Pro Bowl draft, but the Redskins running back shook off the rust to lead the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl  in receiving yardage with 69 yards on four catches. Brian Orakpo had two tackles in the game, and Trent Williams saw extensive playing time at both tackle spots.

Jay Gruden Attends First DC Community Event At Pigskins Club Banquet

In his first community appearance as head coach of the Washington Redskins, Jay Gruden told the teenagers seated at the front of the room they made him proud, but their work was not finished.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Bruce Allen and Gruden surprised the honorees Saturday night at the Pigskins Club 75th Anniversary Awards Dinner at Howard University.

Gruden and Allen each addressed the crowd before personally congratulating each member of the 2013 High School All-Metropolitan Football Team. Read more »

Look, people. If it’s not already painfully obvious to you, Pharrell Williams can do no wrong. If you need proof, see this, this and this. Sonically speaking, 2013 was the year of Pharrell.

At Sunday night’s 56th annual Grammy Awards, Pharrell won Producer of the Year (non-classical) on his own and a piece of Record of the Year and Pop Duo of the Year for his work on Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky.”

The Virginia Beach, Va., native also wore a series of spectacular hats, captivating the nation with a fuzzy brown piece that spawned its own Twitter account with more than 15,000 followers.

Redskins linebacker Nick Barnett was one of many viewers who would not take the puffy number seriously.
