Building Alfred Morris 3.0

Posted by Gabe Hiatt on January 3, 2014 – 7:00 am

Like a mechanic extending the life of a 1991 Mazda 626 “Bentley,” Alfred Morris will continue to retool his game.

In his first two seasons Morris started all 32 games and rushed 611 times for 2,888 yards and 20 touchdowns.

In an exclusive interview with Redskins.com, the former sixth-round pick talked about his approach to offseason training.

“I’m always trying to joke around and become Alfred 2.0,” Morris said.

“Well this year it’ll be Alfred 3.0. I’m just always trying to upgrade. I’m just always trying to not only better myself but better those around me, so continue to work hard and continue to find the areas that I can improve in, and I have some.”

Alfred 3.0 will improve on the original model’s exceptional lower body strength. He will feature incredible friendliness and humility for a running machine.

He will not be sold by Samuel L. Jackson.

Players, like Alfred are the people that this team needs to build on as it goes forward, We have good QB’s, RB’s, WR’s, (but we could do with more) OL line needs work, Defense needs work especially in the Backfield, Best thing we could do is hire London as the new DB coach, afterall he has been coaching them through the year anyway, he has the confidence and respect of the Linebackmen so to it makes sense, Special teams needs the most immediate work, good punter/kicker but the rest are very ordinary.
