Until the Washington Redskins officially announce the hiring of the 29th head coach in franchise history, countless names will be the linked to the prestigious position.

ESPN’s John Clayton gave his list of 10 quality candidates earlier.

Now it’s CSN Washington’s Tarik El-Bashir’s turn to give names of interest:

Over on Redskins.com’s homepage is this week’s poll asking fans which direction they think the team should go in selecting the next head coach.

The Redskins’ last four head coaches have come from all four routes.

Steve Spurrier was plucked from the University of Florida in 2001, Hall of Famer Joe Gibbs was enticed by the possibility of being a head coach again in 2005 and reclaimed his post after 13 years away, Jim Zorn was an assistant with the Seattle Seahawks before his quick move up the ranks inside the Redskins organization landed him at the top of the coaching hierarchy in 2008 and Mike Shanahan was a two-time Super Bowl winning coach in Denver before landing in the Nation’s Capital in 2010.

CHIME IN: Of El-Bashir’s seven listed candidates, which do you think would be the best fit for the Redskins? Let us know below.
