Sunday more than likely will mark the end to one of the most historic careers in NFL history.

Unlike the Robert Griffin IIIs and Brian Orakpos of the world, who were top prospects in college before being drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft, linebacker London Fletcher earned his spot in the starting lineup through determination and a disregard for the doubters.

Always associated with a blue-collar workman’s attitude, Fletcher’s going in a slightly different direction today with these commemorative cleats bringing his career efforts into the spotlight:

Also there’s this per sneakerfiles.com:

We have seen a mirage of dope custom cleats on NFL players this season but as the regular season wraps up we get to check out a few pairs that mean a little more than the rest. Dez Customz did two pairs of Nike cleats for London Fletcher, the Redskins linebacker who plans on wrapping up his illustrious career this weekend after his final matchup with the Giants. Both pairs sport the team colors including burgundy and yellow throughout the kicks, while his number #59 is airbrushed in white on the outside of both as well. Features include the Washington Redskins logo, the skyline of Washington D.C. and even the words “Iron Man 256″ for all of the games Fletcher played without missing any. Lookout for Fletcher tomorrow as he takes on the Giants in his final game and don’t forget to take a peek at his custom Nike cleats!
