The visitors are a part of DeAngelo Hall’s pregame routine.

Every Sunday before kickoff,  an opposing coach will find Hall to pay respect to the three-time Pro Bowler.

“There hasn’t been a coach that we’ve played that hasn’t … told me how good of a season I’m having, just to keep it up and keep playing hard,” Hall said in an interview last Friday.

“Coaches in this league, players in this league and hopefully the fans can kind of see what I bring to the table. ”

When Hall picked off Tony Romo in the second half of a 24-23 loss to Dallas last Sunday, he tallied his eighth season with at least four interceptions.

With only a few days left to vote for the Pro Bowl, Hall strengthened his case to make the annual all-star game for the fourth time. Read more »

Nick Williams Showed Burst On Kickoffs

Posted by Stephen Czarda on December 24, 2013 – 7:00 am

When the Washington Redskins had an opening on the active roster in early November, undrafted rookie wide receiver Nick Williams got the call he’d been waiting a lifetime for.

Answering the phone in shorts and a t-shirt in frigid weather, Williams listened intently as the voice on the other end told him he’d be getting his first NFL call up.

Returning a few punts against the Philadelphia Eagles, Williams saw game action for the first time just five days later.

But without a knock the socks off performance and the coaches wanting to find the right combination on a special teams unit that has severely underperformed this season, the diminutive UConn star transitioned over to full-time offensive asset.

While he’s continued to soak up the familiarity of the professional game from veterans like Pierre Garcon and Santana Moss, he reemerged on special teams yesterday.

Filling in for the usual kickoff returner (Niles Paul who was on standby for fullback duties in case Darrel Young couldn’t go), Williams returned four kickoffs for 95 yards.

He could care less how the cookie crumbles. He’s just happy to receive any and all opportunities to help the team win.
