Prior to a Week 6 matchup with Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, cornerback DeAngelo Hall talked about how his approach to defending the budding star had changed.
Hall told CSN Washington he respected Bryant’s growth enough to end the jawing in between whistles.
“There’s no mind tricks or no talking [trash] back and forth, it’s really going out there and try to compete Ultimately you need to either go out there and knock it out or he’s going to catch it. That’s kind of how it goes.”
Bryant responded in kind during the week, telling the Dallas Morning News he kept quiet against Hall.
It’s a respect between me and him. Last game that we played, we didn’t say a word, as far as disrespect. It was more, ‘Let’s go. Let’s play.’ Basically competing against one another.”
Against Dallas on Sunday, Hall will respectfully try to replicate the game he had against Bryant in October.

Holy Gee-whiz Golly Gosh Wow.
I don’t know what happened to Mike Florio and Pro Football Talk. Maybe a body-snatching alien has overtaken blogging duties this week. Florio has been trolling the Redskins all season, but he’s one of a handful of national media members predicting a win for Washington on Sunday against Dallas.
