Moving forward from back-to-back games in prime time, the Washington Redskins host the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend with the opportunity to put their AFC West title aspirations on the ropes.

Despite losing three straight games, two of which vs. Denver, the Chiefs have experienced one of the best turnarounds in league history.

After winning only a pair of games last season, the original AFL team resorted to a culture changing move by bringing in longtime Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid and former No. 1 overall pick Alex Smith.

The duo along with a quick-strike defense, a reinvigorated Jamal Charles and Dwayne Bowe having recorded at least 50 receiving yards in six of his last nine games has Kansas City Lombardi Trophy dreamin’.

Anyway, Shanahan also focused some of his Wednesday press conference on his own team and his thoughts on some of the younger players, injury updates, the league’s penalty system, Pierre Garcon’s emotion and more.
