Pierre Garçon has been who the Redskins brought him in to be.

After signing with Washington in the first hour of free agency in 2012, the wide receiver led the Redskins with  633 receiving yards despite missing six games with a foot injury.

In 2013, he’s contributed a durable campaign and entrenched himself as Washington’s primary threat in the passing game.

Redskins Weekly Stat Ranking Update

Brian Orakpo could care less about adding two more posterizing sacks to his collection of quarterback takedowns.

The linebacker admitted after the Redskins-Giants game in the wee hours Monday morning that he could care less if he has zero sacks–or 20. Because if it means no wins in the history books then in his mind they’re nothing of importance.

But for the Redskins weekly stat ranking update it means something.

Proving that he’s still the same guy who has two Pro Bowl appearances under his belt, Orakpo is now second in the division with 8.5 sacks.

Robert Griffin III, DeAngelo Hall And Larry Michael Reward Johnson Middle Schoolers

This sure beats a gold star sticker.

The Washington Redskins rewarded a select group of students from J.H. Johnson Middle School in Southeast D.C. for scoring high on their Paced Interim Assessment (PIA) exams by treating them to a guided tour of Redskins Park in Loudoun County, Va.

Robert Griffin III showed off a conference room, and DeAngelo Hall greeted the kids in the lobby on Tuesday. Read more »

When he’s not waiting tables, Ryan Kerrigan earns his keep chasing quarterbacks.

Despite tussling with offensive linemen on almost every down, Kerrigan has remained durable, starting all 45 games of his NFL career. In the following video from the NFL Up campaign, the linebacker shares his maintenance routine.

Waiter Ryan Kerrigan Gets A Huge Tip

“Would you like a crabcake?”

The burly waiter extended a silver tray of hors d’oeuvres, but the patrons were more interested in his autograph.

A black, rectangular name tag reading “Ryan” was affixed to a Ruth’s Chris apron over a crisp white dress shirt and a diagonally-striped gray-and-white tie.

Linebacker Ryan Kerrigan and nine of his teammates hustled for tips Tuesday at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Arlington, Va., as part of a Celebrity Waiter night to raise funds for Kerrigan’s Blitz For The Better Foundation.

By the end of the night, Kerrigan’s group had raised $108,000 for seriously ill, special needs and physically challenged children throughout the greater Washington, D.C., area. Read more »
