Fantasy owners craving some early week point explosions may finally get their kick.

Some of the Thursday Night Football games this season have produced more hair follicles removed than points. Staring at your lineup fantasizing more about the possibility of a redo option than wanting a dislike button for Facebook to let that person who shares 16 links per day to calm down, TNF hasn’t been too kind.

But with Alfred Morris, Robert Griffin III, Jordan Reed, Pierre Garcon, Adrian Peterson and Greg Jennings among others playing in Week 10’s opening game, there will be no need to look at your team on Friday morning with one eye open.

Anyway, here’s this week’s fantasy point total/ranking roundup for the Washington Redskins:

[CBSSports and ESPN are projected totals while NFL.com is rankings. All projections are based on averages amongst various “experts” in standard scoring leagues]

Quarterback Robert Griffin III

CBSSports: 21.6

ESPN: 21

NFL: 10.50 (ranking average)

Running Back Alfred Morris

CBSSports: 15

ESPN: 13

NFL: 7.75 (ranking average)

Running Back Roy Helu Jr.

CBSSports: 3

NFL: 38.00 (ranking average)

Wide Receiver Pierre Garcon

CBSSports: 14

NFL: 12.00 (ranking average)

Wide Receiver Leonard Hankerson:

CBSSports: 4

ESPN: 10

NFL: 49.25 (ranking average)

Tight End Jordan Reed:

CBSSports: 10

NFL: 4.25 (ranking average)

Kicker Kai Forbath

CBSSports: 8.7

ESPN: 10

NFL: 13.75 (ranking average)

Defense/Special Teams

CBSSports: 6.3

NFL: 19.50 (ranking average)

The biggest surprise from this week’s roundup? ESPN projecting Hankerson to get more fantasy points than Garcon.

This isn’t a knock on Hank as he leads the team in touchdown receptions this season and is creating separation from defenses at a much higher clip than any point in his first two seasons.

But Garcon is coming off a career-high 172 yards and any worries about the passing game “sucking” dissipated with one monster catch after another against San Diego.

It also has to be asked, are you worried about Morris due to Roy Helu Jr. and Darrel Young snatching “his” touchdowns?
