Coach’s Turn: Mike Shanahan At The Mic

No one wants to leave homecoming on the losing end especially in that fashion.

Closing another chapter on Redskins-Broncos, the team opened preparation focused on the San Diego Chargers today.

The Chargers were a perennial power in the decade following the turn of the century. Behind a three-headed attack of Phillip Rivers, Antonio Gates and LaDanian Tomlinson, the Bolts had all the necessary firepower and entertainment value that Southern California is best known for.

But without a Super Bowl ring to show for their regular season accolades, the Chargers restructured some of their foundation. Now with Mike McCoy in town the Chargers have been injected with a youthful spirit that has gotten the best out of the four-time Pro Bowl Rivers.

Head coach Mike Shanahan addressed his concerns with the Chargers offense, his offense, provided an injury update and much more.
