Coach’s Turn: Mike Shanahan At The Mic

Posted by Stephen Czarda on October 28, 2013 – 3:12 pm

On Monday, Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan addressed the media following Sunday’s disappointing fourth quarter collapse.

Starting slow, the Redskins hit their stride just before halftime. The defense held the potent Peyton Manning in check after an opening drive touchdown, the special teams unit neutralized returner Trindon Holliday and the offense constructed its greatest drive under the Mike Shanahan Era with a methodical, clock eating 16-play drive that ended with Leonard Hankerson’s third touchdown of the season.

Entering the locker room to a chorus of boos, the Redskins had the Broncos on the ropes. With a one-two combo of Alfred Morris and DeAngelo Hall, the Redskins’ looked like they finally turned the page and were going to upset the Broncos in their own house.

…Then the fourth quarter happened.

Here are quick hits from his press conference courtesy of the Redskins’ Twitter (@Redskins):
