Sunday night’s matchup could be an offensive shootout between Washington Redskins and the Dallas Cowboys.
I don’t want to give the Cowboys too much credit now because there’s no need to go overboard after five games of the season–especially with them–but they are a top 10 offense at the moment.
Having said that, if the Redskins duplicate either performance against the arch-rival from a season ago then there will be a lot of smiling Redskins fans come Monday morning–and a lot of overly exuberant fantasy owners whose come-from-behind victory started with their decision to put a Redskin in their starting lineup.
I won’t take full credit, but I hope this fantasy projections and ranking roundup at least helps in the decision process unless you’re the owner of SkinsRule28. This week is mine!
[CBSSports and ESPN are projected totals while NFL.com is rankings. All projections are based on averages amongst various "experts" in standard scoring leagues]
Quarterback Robert Griffin III
NFL: 7.40 (ranking average)
Running Back Alfred Morris
NFL: 6.60 (ranking average)
Wide Receiver Pierre Garcon
NFL: 16.40 (ranking average)
Wide Receiver Leonard Hankerson:
Tight End Fred Davis
Tight End Jordan Reed:
NFL: 17.67 (ranking average)
Kicker Kai Forbath
NFL: 17 (ranking average)
NFL: Not in top 24
Ahh isn’t it a good sight to see Forbath getting projections again? In perhaps a symbol of his status heading into Sunday (and that he’s the only kicker on the roster) No. 2 is closer than ever to getting back onto the field.
A lover of AT&T Stadium’s conditions, he could get his first game action since Week 1.
