To the media, Jackson has been one of the most popular players in the locker room in his first week back from a four-game suspension. With all the added attention piling onto an already exciting week getting back to practice, Jackson said his top priority away from football is relaxation.
So he plays PlayStation 3. But instead of living a virtual life of crime, Jackson said he would rather simulate the gridiron.
“Everybody’s talking about Grand Theft Auto (V) and all this other stuff. I can’t get into that stuff,” Jackson said. “I just play either basketball, football, baseball, FIFA or anything of that nature.”
With a 10-month old daughter tumbling around the house, Jackson has less time to pick up the controller. He said when he’s around, he’s always on alert for her first steps.
“She’s crawling really good and stuff now, so she’s trying to stand up on her own, never staying still,” the linebacker said.
“I just kind of roll around with her.”
On his first official business trip of the 2013 season, Jackson said he’ll stick to his routine and stay low key in Big D.
He’ll pass on the barbecue and dial up room service for dinner and a movie.
“A lot of guys like to go out and see the city, go places to eat and see other people. You can find me in my room and that’s it.”
