In February, just days after Super Bowl XLVIII, the XXII Olympic Games will take place in Sochi, Russia.
One of the many that hope to compete in The Games, aerial skier and Redskins diehard Ashley Caldwell is showing off her team pride in one of the most unique ways ever seen.
Not only that, but she is trying to reach the pinnacle of her sport just months removed from a serious knee surgery.
That sounds really familiar.
In a USA Today story, Caldwell said that her decision to have ‘Redskins’ or her skies stems from similar recovery from injury that Robert Griffin III went through.
“I dig being able to support the Redskins and RGIII especially since he’s coming back from the same injury that I am.”
Personally I thought putting Redskins band aids on my fingers once they started getting red was a sign of my toughness (and support for the team) after cranking out article after article on game days, but I’m no match to a skier who is coming back from an ACL tear and does this for a living:
The Redskins skies will make their debut in December.
