Things are always that much better when coming off a win.
Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan addressed the media this afternoon noticeably freer than he was this time 72 hours ago at his last presser in Ashburn.
With the monkey of a confusing three-game losing streak off of his back, Shanahan praised his team’s effort but noted that one win needs to be the first building block in a recovery bounce in the march to playoff contention, not a solitary moment of success in a trying season.
“Same message we’ve had throughout the year, trying to get better each week, each practice.”
Despite winning the first game of the season, this week’s early bye gives the team extra opportunity to go back and see how they can right the wrongs and extend on their given confidence from yesterday.

Shanahan agrees NFL rules diminishing tackle skills: "When you only have pads on once a week, you're not going to be great at tackling."—
