If any other quarterback connected on 88 of his passes for nearly 1,000 yards in the first three games of the season, the team’s brass would be ecstatic. After all it’d perfectly fit the mold of today’s ever-changing game that favors pass-heavy attacks.
While the Washington Redskins have thoroughly enjoyed seeing Robert Griffin III’s progress in the passing game in year two, a chunk of those yards have come when the score led the offense to have no choice but resort to throwing on every down.
He ran more last week (a season-high 37 rushing yards) but due to a ‘sucky rule’, his longest run of the season finished with a turnover forced by the ground.
Griffin III opened his weekly press conference talking about turning the corner on disappointing start, working on his sliding, getting Alfred Morris more carries, moving out of the pocket with fluidity more often, advice from his father,
