Louisiana is quite the happening place from those that have been there have reported. From jazz to New Orleans to the delicious spicy food, the Bayou State is as unique as any.
And recently, there has been a lot of quacking…for Duck Dynasty. The ever-so-popular show on A&E is all about—you guessed it—ducks.
Located in Monroe, La., the family business of Duck Commander is run by patriarch Phil Robertson. Robertson, believe it or not, was a quarterback at Louisiana Tech behind Terry Bradshaw and actually drew interest from the Redskins (lead writer Brian Tinsman has an in-depth post on that ordeal) before settling in Monroe for a life tending to ducks.
Speaking of Monroe, the University of Louisiana Monroe is visiting Baylor on Saturday in a battle of the dynasties. Bear Dynasty versus Duck Dynasty.
Phil Robertson versus Robert Griffin III—beard edition.
