Moving forward from the first two weeks of the season, Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan addressed local and national media after practice today at team headquarters in Ashburn, Va.
Shanahan admitted on Monday that part of the problem of failing to achieve that elusive first victory has been mental miscues to include penalties and feeble tackle attempts opposed to form tackling. Through 120 minutes of play, the Redskins have been flagged 17 yards for 153 yards—a few of which have come on special teams where they have given their opponents a quick field position boost before they’ve finished strapping on their helmets.
There is no instant bandage to heal the exposed wounds but a hard day of practice is a start to ease the woes.
