Who is hungry for a delicious, mouthwatering sandwich that will surely kick away the daily two o’clock feeling over the next month?

Washington Redskins linebacker/sandwich connoisseur Brian Orakpo constructed his very own tasty treat, the Rak-Attack, which is at the various Harris Teeter locations across the Northern Virginia area and Washington, D.C. now!

Harris Teeter, Official Grocery Store of the Washington Redskins, had Orakpo in for a visit this afternoon at the Reston store to meet and greet with fans and prove once and for all that he knows more than just sacking scarred quarterbacks—he makes a great sandwich with a little bit of hard-hitting Texas flair that he’s known for.

Week 2 Power Rankings Roundup

What would a win do for the Washington Redskins on Sunday against the Detroit Lions? Well besides getting the boys in burgundy and gold a much-needed first victory of the year, it would give the guys a boost in their sagging power ranking across various publications.

Throughout the offseason the Redskins were one of the trendiest picks in power rankings; placed somewhere inside the top 10 or just a shade out of it.

Why? It’s obvious. This team still has all of the tools necessary to climb out of this early rut and still be a powerful contender.

A few tweaks here and there, and this ship can get back on track. But they need to prove it starting Sunday against a Lions team (1-1) trying to bounce back from a substandard 2012 season where they failed to emulate their postseason success from the year before.

Anyway, here’s this week’s edition of power rankings roundup with a recurring theme—improvement on defense is a must to get a better rank.

How You Voted: Redskins-Packers

It’s that time of the week once again where Redskins Blog fanatics get a chance to see whether or not they have a future career in the physic palm reading business.

Each week we ask you before the game to vote on which player will have the best performance and which unit will shine brightest against the opposition. Last week of course, it was the Green Bay Packers. While the Redskins suffered a second consecutive bitter loss, there were a few standout performances of note, especially those who were on the ballot.
