Yesterday’s bitter loss to the Green Bay Packers was almost a duplicate of the season opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, as the Redskins dug themselves a 24-point halftime hole that was too much to overcome in the waning minutes. The Redskins scored the 20 of the last 27 second half points to include a beautiful toe-dragging touchdown catch by Santana Moss, reminiscent of his catch against the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving last year.
Unfortunately the combination of early offensive struggles (entered Packers territory only twice in the first half), penalties and Aaron Rodger’s effectiveness against a banged up, new-look defense was too much to conquer on this day.
