For you Madden diehards out there that demand answers to weekly ratings updates this one is for you—and well as you’ll soon find out—you’ll be getting the answers from your own right hand.
A few weeks back, Redskins Blog presented the fact that you, the fans, now directly impact player ratings in Madden 25. Each week after destroying your opponent with the same PA Y-Dragon Wheel play 16 times in a row, you can head over to NFL.com and rank the top 25 quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends and defenses each week. But that isn’t all that you can help decide.
Since being hired as head coach in 2010, every single one of Mike Shanahan’s first round picks have gotten a Pro Bowl nod and like the running back whisperer he’s known to be (it’s on his official business card), exposed diamond in the rough gem Alfred Morris in the sixth round last year.
Speaking of Morris, he and teammate Ryan Kerrigan are part of the newly minted “Next Gen” team, which only seems fitting considering that next generation consoles are hitting stores in the coming months. But what exactly does that mean for the two?
EA Sports said that the Next Gen team, comprised of 25 of some of the best young talent in the league, will give fans the chance to crown the top Next Generation player. Each week fans will have the opportunity to rank the players from 1-25, with 25 points rewarded to the top player that week, 24 for the second top player and so forth.
Besides, have you seen how big Kerrigan’s virtual biceps are? Yeah—don’t make him flex ‘em again.
