Barring an incredible change of fortunes for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the last 15 minutes of a game that has been controlled by the defending NFC East champs, the Washington Redskins are well on their way to the first undefeated preseason since 1985.

After trading field goals in the third quarter (Forbath’s seventh of the preseason) the Redskins entered the fourth quarter up 30-9.

Here’s are some highlights from the fourth quarter:

Buccaneers 10th Drive Continued:

3rd and 10 <20: Orlovsky airs it out deep ..incomplete…but Minnifield called for a penalty.

1st and 10 <49:  Robinson stopped by Vic So’oto who is play for a roster spot.

2nd and 10 <49: Orlovsky is nearly intercepted by Jose Gumbs who looked like a gymnast after an acrobatic dive.

3rd and 10 <49: Neutral zone infraction on Brandon Jenkins.

3rd and 10 >46: Orlovsky finds his tight end Nate Byham for a first down.

1st and 10 >39: Norwood with a carry brought down my Marvin Burdette.

2nd and 3 >32: Norwood wrapped up for a loss.

3rd and 5 >35: Norwood gains a few.

4th and 3: Lindell’s 50-yard kick is good. The lead is down to 18. Williams thought about taking the ensuing kick out for a return by Jawan Jamison directed him to take a knee.

Redskins 11th Drive:

1st and 10 <20: Jamison can’t get much against an eight-man front.

2nd and 12 <18: Jamison takes about three steps…cuts back and gains two.

3rd and 10 <20: White connects with Jordan Reed who was in double coverage. Only a nine-yard gain.

4th and 1 <29: Rocca out for the punt. Norwood gains a few before DeJon Gomes brings him down by his shirttail.

Buccaneers 11th Drive:

1st and 10 <29: Norwood gains one and that’s all. Can’t get past the larger than life Ron Brace.

2nd and 9 <30: Norwood with another carry–brought down by Gumbs. Norwood is listed as a receiver but getting carries tonight.

3rd and 4 <35: Norwood gets a first down.

1st and 10 <41: Robinson gains a few. Buccaneers going run-heavy in this quarter. Can’t blame them considering the secondary has shut down their receiving core.

2nd and 8 <43: Norwood with another first down, but Gumbs with another tackle. Jim Haslett sung his praises earlier this week.

1st and 10 >46: Norwood brought down by Domonique Hamilton. Brandon Jenkins flagged for a late hit.

1st and 10 >31: Robinson picks up one. Gomes and Burdette in on the stop.

2nd and 9 >30: Robinson brought down by Compton.

3rd and 6 >27: Orlovsky rolls out and finds Wright…who lands out of bounds.

4th and 6 >27: Dimke’s kick is…NO GOOD!

Redskins 12th Drive:

1st and 10 <35: Encroachment on defense.

1st and 5 <40: Jamison carries it for a deuce. Two-minute warning.

2nd and 3 <42: Jamison on a cutback gains enough for a first down.

1st and 10 <45: Timeout Redskins. After the timeout..victory formation. Ahhh there’s nothing better.

2nd and 12 <43: Victory formation again. Why not?

Game Over! Redskins finish the preseason 4-0!

Now, if we can look as good in the regular season. I think that though the ‘skins have a tough schedule, they will be able to win some games and do alright in the division.
