Coach’s Turn: Mike Shanahan At The Mic

After extending their preseason record to 3-0, Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan stepped to the podium at FedExField to chat with the media about his team’s effort during the 30-7 victory.

From start to finish, Shanahan’s squad completely dominated the Bills and seemed in full seven-game winning streak mode, complete with another rockin’ crowd. The Bills started the game with the ball, but after Brandon Jenkins recorded his first sack at the NFL level, the offense took control of the game and marched down the field for a Pierre Garcon touchdown. They followed it up with Kai Forbath field goal and that’s all that was needed to landed in the dub column once again.

Obviously I could talk all night about how the game went considering my adrenaline pumping strong right about now, but lets hear what head coach Mike Shanahan had to say courtesy of the Redskins’ Twitter account (@Redskins).

This isn’t the first time that Shanahan has started the preseason 3-0.

In 1998, the Broncos won their first three preseason games. The end result? A Super Bowl. While I’m not making any statements that the two have a correlation and you should automatically pencil the burgundy and gold into Met Life Stadium in February, it’s never hurts to be in the same shoes as a Super Bowl-winning team.
