Coach’s Turn: Mike Shanahan At The Mic

Despite no longer having two-a-days for the rest of training camp, Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan wanted his team to keep the intensity at a high level.

He got it–and then some.

Despite frigid August conditions, nothing could cool the fact that reigning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Robert Griffin III was making his debut in 11-on-11 drills. With No. 10 taking his next step towards a return to the field, here are the two-time Super Bowl winning  coach’s thoughts from another jam-packed day:

    I think that this TEAM is coming together and great things will happen if they stay focused and continue to play like a TEAM. There are alot of great players that are working hard and making this a TEAM effort. If each Players keeps in mind that one is not greater than the other, and each one is dependent upon the other, the Washington Redskins will play in Met Life Stadium in February of 2014!
