What a day, Redskins fans. From the first fan that arrived at 11:30 p.m. last night to Robert Griffin III dotting the last “i” in his John Hancock, Fan Appreciation Day 2013 will forever go down in the record books.

The day centered around the 12 o’clock practice, but for most fans, the highlight of the day came shortly after 2 p.m.With sharpies in hand, they signed hundreds of autographs and touched countless lives of children and adults alike.

I was able to carry my fair share of the picture taking load, but it was impossible to snap every photo of every signature. Having said that, here’s an extensive gallery of the players, coaches and general manager Bruce Allen signing autographs.

The sky is the limit for Alfred Morris these days, as he has clearly proved that he’s going to surpass last year’s 11 reception campaign.

Also, while it took a little while to witness a touchdown during the wide receiver/cornerback battles, Niles Paul scampered into the endzone on the first play.

Let’s have a look.

Yesterday’s one-on-one drills between the wide receivers and cornerbacks were highlighted by a few long touchdown bombs.

Thanks coach Shanahan, we appreciate your decision.

I no longer want to pursue being an NFL running back.

Okay, so maybe that dream ended for me the day I was born, but after seeing the defensive lineman crushing ball carriers it official ended any thought of putting on a helmet.

Thank you security ropes.

Anyway, check out Barry Cofield and Co. working on recovery from a pancake block.

The crowd this morning at Fan Appreciation Day is pumped up—and practice hasn’t even started yet.

This day has been circled on everyone’s calendars as the day to make the trip down to Richmond. The amount of people here easily exceeds that of any practice over the first eight days.

If you think you’re the only ones who are excited, though, think again. The players are thrilled to see and play in front of YOU.

Here’s what they have to say starting with quarterback Robert Griffin III:
