I’ve been trying to get you up close footage of the afternoon practice sessons and today I had the experience of a lifetime.

The quarterbacks worked on their pinpoint precision with the wide receivers on some sideline passes.

See what it’s like to have an NFL wide receiver coming full speed right at you.

Wherever Robert Griffin III goes, the crowd follows and understandably so. Despite the fact that he and his receiving core have only spent one season together, their chemistry is what makes them an elite offense.

On the flipside, everyone’s been eagerly anticipating the NFL debuts of David Amerson, Phillip Thomas and Bacarri Rambo.

Here’s how the trio did against the reigning AP Offensive Rookie of the Year (and Rex Grossman).

Away from all of the excitement of the one-on-one battles that were taking place amongst the skill positions was the offensive line, per usual, sweating as hard as anyone else on the field yet going relatively unnoticed.

Luckily, I was there and made sure to give them some of the spotlight.

Today was the first day that the offense and defense went against each other before 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills.

Up first is the running backs, with upside-down trash cans for offensive lineman, going one-on-one with the linebackers.

All week the running backs have been working on their pass-catching and here’s their chance to see how they’ve improved.

Last season, Ryan Kerrigan picked off Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan for his second career interception return for a touchdown.

The top-100 play fired up another rabid crowd at FedExField. You want to know his secret?

Practice.

Here’s some video of him and the rest of the linebackers doing their best Santana Moss impressions.

Mike Shanahan

Just as your personal workouts do, the Washington Redskins start their practice sessions by loosening their muscles.

Despite overcast clouds and rain in the vicinity, it’s fairly muggy out there right now.

While the guys stretched for, by my account, nine minutes here’s just a short sample of what they did.

How about this for a grand arrival.

Saturday’s bright, sunny weather is any bikers dream. Temps are slightly lower than average and being that it is the weekend; it’s the perfect time to take your two (or three)-wheeler out of the garage and onto the street.

It’s also a great opportunity to make a pit stop to this afternoon’s practice session. It’s the perfect opening, though, to come to Redskins training camp on your bike as some have already chosen to do.

Here’s video of a few hundred Redskins fans taking the streets of Richmond before arriving here.

Ask around and the majority of Washington Redskins fans have few memories of the team’s brief training camp stint at Frostburg State University.

Well Redskins fans, fellow diehard Ron Whitley isn’t one who forgot about those days. In fact, his greatest training camp memory comes from the late 1990’s site.

In what is normally used as either a fashion statement or protector of the eyes, Whitley has turned one ordinary hat into a memento of life lasting training camp memories.

A Quick Byte Special Saturday Edition

One of the main attractions at the Bon Secours Training Center that has no relation to football is the “LOVE” sign at the corner of the far end zone by the amphitheater.

“Virginia is for Lovers” has been the commonwealth’s catching motto since 1969 after it was creatively constructed in Richmond.

Go figure.

Anyway, Readskins.com’s Brian Tinsman and I opened the floor to Redskins fans asking them what they love about the team.

Also, if you needed any more proof that Richmond (and their record-setting crowds) loves the Washington Redskins, one fan shared his overnight adventure to be, ultimately, just fourth in line.
