Last year the Washington Redskins were picked by zero major publications to win the always competitive NFC East. The Cowboys, Eagles and Giants split various publications votes for the division crown while the Redskins were all but forgotten.
Their previews ranked each team’s units with grade school-like letter grades and final season record thoughts. What fell through the cracks, though, are several important aspects that make up a division-winning squad.
Resolve—chemistry—will to win. The Washington Redskins had all three and it couldn’t have been more evident than the seven-game winning streak to end the season.
This year, we flipped the page a little bit and gave you the opportunity to predict the season record.
Here are the results:
A 9-12 win season usually equates to, at very least, a playoff berth so it looks like FedExField could be rockin’ again this January!
Having a record above .500 in 2013 would also be the first back-to-back winning seasons for the franchise since 1996-1997 when the team finished 9-7 and 8-7-1.
Better get in line for playoff tickets now—I hear Redskins fans love them some postseason play.
Hail to the Redskins!
