It’s the little things in life that mean the most.

The players took the field earlier today for some conditioning tests to make sure they are in shape and fully prepared for the next few weeks.

Drumroll please—everyone passed! Bravo, guys. Glad that went smoothly.

Anyway, some of the players took to Twitter about the matter as well as a brief mention by Robert Griffin III during his press conference.

Now that training camp season has arrived, many NFL fans will look to get up-close and personal with their favorite players. Some may even be lucky to enough to run into their NFL idols out on the streets.

With that, it’s important to know exactly what someone looks like before approaching them, or else you risk a little bit of embarrassment (I’m sure many of us have been there).

For those of you fortunate enough to encounter Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, you may want to confirm that you’re not actually gawking over his celebrity doppelganger, Andre 3000.

Player’s Turn: London Fletcher At The Mic

Posted by Stephen Czarda on July 24, 2013 – 4:54 pm

London Fletcher

Few things pass linebacker London Fletcher these days that could be labeled as a “first”. The former Division III star has started a Super Bowl, appeared in multiple Pro Bowls and led the Washington Redskins defense in tackles.

Well there is a first time for everything—even for a 15-year veteran.

Fletcher took the podium in front of a large media gathering on the eve of training camp and had a fair share to say.

Let’s take a look at what transpired.

Unsurprisingly, quarterback Robert Griffin III had the lion’s share of the media’s attention this afternoon.

The second-year quarterback had quite the eventful offseason after a spectacular debut. It was also the first time he was in front of the microphone since minicamp.

If you didn’t have a chance to catch his press conference, don’t worry. We’ve got you covered.

Here is a quick glimpse at what he had to say.

Last year the Washington Redskins were picked by zero major publications to win the always competitive NFC East. The Cowboys, Eagles and Giants split various publications votes for the division crown while the Redskins were all but forgotten.

Their previews ranked each team’s units with grade school-like letter grades and final season record thoughts.  What fell through the cracks, though, are several important aspects that make up a division-winning squad.

Resolve—chemistry—will to win. The Washington Redskins had all three and it couldn’t have been more evident than the seven-game winning streak to end the season.

This year, we flipped the page a little bit and gave you the opportunity to predict the season record.

Here are the results:

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon is no stranger to Redskins Nation. He is also used to the customary media interviews for a player of his stature.

What he has yet to experience since signing here last March, though, is answering hard hitting questions presented by the Redskins faithful—until now.

Garcon will be the next participant in the team’s Google+ Hangout Series on Tuesday (July 30th) at 9 p.m. EST.

Signing up is easy. All you have to do is the following:

Guess what Redskins Nation? Training camp kicks off in less than 24 hours from now!

Okay so I really didn’t need to tell you that as the anticipation for the Washington Redskins first training camp in Richmond has been off the charts for weeks now.

The locals here are already decked out in burgundy and gold and hotels are quickly filling with those that are making the journey down, up or whatever direction traffic is coming from.

Richmond is the place to be right now.

To add some fuel to your fire, here are just some of the sights you’ll see at the Bon Secours Training Center starting tomorrow.

The Equipment Beat Traffic And Is Here

Posted by Stephen Czarda on July 24, 2013 – 11:42 am

All throughout yesterday the Washington Redskins packed their bags and left the comfy confines of Redskins Park en route to the Bon Secours Training Center just a few miles south in Richmond.

The players tweeted out their excitement on the eve of another season, but what you didn’t hear about was the equipment’s trek down.

Well obviously you didn’t because equipment can’t talk nor do they use the luxury of Twitter.

Anyway, Washington Redskins equipment manager Brad Berlin willing made himself the spokesman for all the pads, helmets and bags and gave an inside peak at how everything got down here.
