A few weeks back The Redskins Blog had a piece on Nick Sundberg’s trip across Europe filled with famous monuments and pictures of the long snapper trying out some customary traditions on the other side of the pond.

Sundberg is known for his incredible strength and willingness to do whatever it takes to help his team win. His Herculean courage was on full display when he shook of a broken arm (a necessary body part of long snapping) in the team’s 40-32 Week 1 victory over the New Orleans Saints.

That takes an unprecedented level of passion that only a competitor like Sundberg possess– and a no days off mentality.

Check out this photo gallery of Sundberg, with pigskin in hand, showing Europe the art of long-snapping.

You’ve been to FedExField before for a Washington Redskins game and have seen just how amazing the atmosphere is come game day.

The outside tailgating experience is top notch, big name rivals come to town each season and, of course, “Hail to the Redskins” being sung by the faithful after every touchdown.

Josh Wilson, although touchdownless in his two seasons with the Redskins, has heard the familiar tune countless times and just like the rest of us has it memorized.

Check out this rendition of the Redskins fight song by the corner courtesy of his Meet the Redskins segment:

Bryan Kehl Shares On BYU, Prospect

Posted by Stephen Czarda on July 18, 2013 – 11:17 am

Peruse through any NFL season preview of the Washington Redskins and it’s almost a guarantee that the linebacker unit will fall under “strengths” entering 2013.

Sure Ryan Kerrigan, Brian Orakpo and London Fletcher are all former Pro Bowlers, but what sets this group apart from others across the league is the fact that they are genuine good guys–a label that can also be applied to backup linebacker/special teams ace Bryan Kehl as well.

The seven-year veteran has been around the block (twice) and knows just how difficult staying in the NFL is, regardless of path taken.

Instead of taken the selfish mentality that he made it and lacks giving credit to those from his past helping him become the player that he is today, Kehl returned to his old stomping grounds at BYU to give one current Cougar/NFL prospect advice that he will hopefully take with him once leaving college.

With all of the excitement of a freshman’s first day of college, the Washington Redskins are packing up all of their necessary belongings and moving to their new home-away-from-home at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center in Richmond, Va.

Few in the organization remain from the days when the team went to Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., and even fewer remember the team’s brief training camp stint at Frostburg State University. But it is certain that few will ever forget the inaugural trip to Richmond, which promises to provide an ideal site for football preparation.

In addition to all of the standard hoopla surrounding the state-of-the-art facility, here are the facts about the facility that you need to know (via Redskins PR): Read more »
