Griffin III, Luck Debate Rages On In Fantasy

With fantasy football draft season fast approaching, I’m sure many of you are slowly, but surely beginning to scour the web for expert fantasy advice as we prepare to put our friends and co-workers to shame.

As we all know, the NFL has becoming a more passing oriented league, and fantasy football drafts have reflected that, with quarterbacks being drafted very early. The signal-callers we all expect off the board first are Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning, but what if you’re aren’t fortunate enough to snag of those guys?

Well, you might want to take a look at last season’s rookie sensations – Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and the Colts’ Andrew Luck.

East Ranked Fifth Among NFL Divisions

In a recent article released by CBSSports.com, the NFC East ranked as the fifth best division in the NFL.

At the top of the list is the NFC West, a division with the reigning NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers as well as the Redskins’ constant playoff foe, Seattle Seahawks.

The NFC East being ranked 5th may puzzle the faithful of Redskins Nation, but the Redskins are not part of the problem–at all.

Redskins Advance In Greatest Uni Bracket

Last week Redskins Nation came out in full force, as usual, and helped the Washington Redskins advanced to the second round in Dave Dameshek’s Greatest Uniform in NFL History bracket.

Representing the “early” years of the Burgundy and Gold, the 1965-1968 spearhead helmeted outfits soundly defeated the Detroit Lions very plain blue and silver getups by over 10,000 votes while the sleek Nike uniforms that Robert Griffin III helped make famous last year shooed away  the Atlanta Falcons upset attempt in the current NFC jersey region.

Speaking of the uniform that No. 10 wore last year, remember 2012’s season opener where the Redskins, wearing those always awesome gold pants that head coach Mike Shanahan revived, traveled to the Big Easy to take on the New Orleans Saints?

And to think no one outside of the DMV thought the underdogs could pull out a 40-32 victory.

Well the two teams are squaring off once again with the Redskins needing some ground to catch to advance to the Sweet 16.
