Last year when the Washington Redskins selected quarterback Kirk Cousins with the 102nd overall pick in the draft, the team was getting a second young, accurate signal caller who was NFL ready within a 24 hour span.
While he doesn’t have Robert Griffin III-esque speed (no quarterback really ever has) he did run a decent 4.9 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine—not bad for a guy that some have deemed as “too slow” to run the Burgundy and Gold’s complex read-option offense.
But do you want to know the real secret behind why he isn’t one of the first players to finish wind sprints?
As this picture from his Twitter account shows (@KirkCousins8), he clearly isn’t giving his legs enough breathing room off the field to decompress.
Too tight indeed, Kirk.
Now football pants are made to be formfitting as to protect the players from being jerked around and getting injured as well as holding their protective equipment in place.
For the Redskins gunslinger, though, he doesn’t want the same look away from the field.
I agree 100 percent.
Kirk, if you do decide to wear these airbrushed skin tight jeans to your next press conference I hope you go with the buzz cut again as well.
It’s what the people want—or at least one local barber.
