Eight-year veteran Reed Doughty is one of the longest tenured members of the Burgundy and Gold.

Currently, the University of Northern Colorado product is also the oldest member of the Redskins secondary and after a chat with safety Jordan Bersteine, No. 37 showed his advanced age.

Last night the NBA Finals took center stage as the four-time champion San Antonio Spurs squared off with the 2012 NBA Champion Miami Heat in game six of their best-of-seven series.

By now you know that what seemed like what was shaping out to be another blowout in a strange series turned into one of the greatest games in Finals history.

Could Beckham Bend It In The NFL?

The time between minicamp and training camp during the NFL calendar year is often the quietest as the players step away from the facilities for a few weeks before reemerging fresh and eager to wrestle to rigors of a grueling NFL season.

On Tuesday, however, the league got some interesting news—a tryout offer was sent to internationally renowned soccer icon David Beckham.

For those of you who aren’t up to speed in the world of “footie”, the Englishman recently kicked his playing days to the curve after 20 years.

Retirement (as told to me by those who put in their dues to society) allows you to relax and soak up the life without work–for Beckham’s early soccer departure/NFL career it would offer something different.

Football without 90 minutes of running.

Expect ‘Eye-Popping’ FF Stats For No. 88

Last season the Washington Redskins were one of the most creative offenses in the league thanks to a repacked offense that rolled out the read-option attack.

With new plays in offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan’s playbook and fresh weapons in the backfield and on the flanks, the possibilities seemed endless of what magic was going to transpire.

On only the second drive of the new season, rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III connected with Pierre Garcon for an 88-yard touchdown.

No. 88’s catch was his fourth on the day and instantly put him over the century mark with well over three quarters of the game remaining.

Garcon’s touchdown did more than just put the burgundy and gold up on the New Orleans Saints; it gave the fantasy owners who drafted/traded for him a reason to smile.

While the Mount Union product struggled to remain fully health for the duration of the season, he still was one of the top-50 fantasy receivers.

Don’t expect that to last though.
