Redskins Players Think Pink In Offseason

When you think of the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness what comes to your mind? Is it a friend or family member who succumbed to the disease, or the wife, mother, or sister who beat it? No matter what you think of, chances are seeing the pink ribbon triggers an emotional reaction.

When Redskins Josh Morgan, Nick Sundberg and Pierre Garcon see the pink ribbon, they’re inspired to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation, making strides against breast cancer.

Hall Attends CareFirst Commitment Event

Last Tuesday, April 30th, CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield hosted its’ first-ever CareFirst Commitment event for Northern Virginia nonprofits at the Fairview Park Marriott in Falls Church.

The event was an opportunity to give CareFirst’s beneficiaries the chance to meet and mingle with each other, elected officials/CareFirst board members and company leaders.

Represented at the event were 12 nonprofit foundations. Also featured at the event was celebrity guest speaker and your Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall, as well as Henry Lopez, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington’s Youth of the Year recipient.

Griffin III No. 31 On PFF ‘Top 101 Of 2012’

Yesterday, we profiled running back Alfred Morris as Pro Football Focus ranked him as the 38th best player in their ‘Top 101 of 2012’ list.

Today, it’s another rookie member of the Redskins backfield who is being recognized for his incredible first season in the NFL. However, this Offensive Rookie of the Year signal caller needs no introduction.

Quarterback Robert Griffin III comes in at number 31 on the PFF list of ‘Top 101 of 2012’.
