Quarterback Robert Griffin III has helped usher in a new era to Washington, D.C., a new vibe that has DMV-area Redskins fans on the edge of their seats for next season.

To say the least, Griffin III’s fascinating allure and grandioso excitement followed him from Copperas Cove, TX, where he won the Heisman trophy, to the Nation’s Capital.

Those reasons, plus many more, are why Griffin III appeared destined to someday grace the cover of ESPN The Magazine. It just so happens that his day would be today as cover boy of the magazine’s 15th year anniversary issue which hit newsstands this morning.
