Possible RG3, Vick Duel Headlines Opener

Mark your calendars Redskins Nation its official, the 2012 NFC East champions will open the 2013 slate against NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football at FedExField. The opener is one of five primetime affairs for the Burgundy and Gold.

And yes its the same Eagles who the Redskins swept during the 2012 campaign including a 31-6 victory at FedExField that jump started the Redskins epic run to the postseason.

With plenty of storylines to dig into, it only seems fitting to do a way too early preview of a game that is still months away.

NFC East champions, first 10-win season since 2005, and the coming out party for rookies Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris. Those were just some of the headlines for one of the best seasons in franchise history.

With the schedule unveiling for the 2013 season just a few anxious hours away, its time to ramp up the anticipation of what’s to come.

RG3 To ‘Keep Pushing Forward’ Year Two

In a nine month span, quarterback Robert Griffin III went from highly touted draft prospect to record-smashing, AP Offensive Rookie of the Year and the most talked about player to wear a Burgundy and Gold jersey ever.

The fact that Griffin III dazzled the Nation’s Capital and ripped defenses apart with only a few months of offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan’s playbook under his belt is no small feat.

No. 10 accumulated over 4,000 yards and 27 touchdowns in his year, just imagine what could be in store for him in year two under Shanahan.

Griffin III sat down with Larry Michael on the set of Redskins Nation for the third installment of “10 days with No. 10” to give his thoughts on for preparing for his second year in the NFL.

I know I am. Its been three months since the Redskins took the field.

With the 2013 NFL schedule release just on the horizon (tonight at 8pm) NFL.com’s Elliot Harrison has dissected what he believes will be the Top-13 games on the NFL slate this upcoming season.

To no one’s surprise, the Redskins have landed a spot on the  Harrison’s list.

Just a note–you’ll need a DVR to catch all of the action between these two offensive juggernauts.

RG3 Speaks On 76-Yard Touchdown Run

Quarterback Robert Griffin III sat down once again with the Voice of the Washington Redskins, Larry Michael, on the set of Redskins Nation for “10 days with No. 10”.

Griffin III recalled some of his favorite moments from the first half of the 2012 season. In part two, he spoke about:

–His connections with players across the league who aren’t wearing the burgundy and gold.

–Getting to .500 after a 38-26 win in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings.

–On whether he’d change his playing style from his current dual-threat abilities.

–The 76-yard touchdown run to seal the victory against the Vikings.
