Redskins Welcome Back Fred Davis

Posted by Daniel Zimmet on March 29, 2013 – 4:33 pm

The Voice of the Redskins Larry Michael and Tight End Fred Davis.

The Redskins announced on Friday that they have re-signed unrestricted free agent tight end Fred Davis.  The terms of the deal were not disclosed but the excitement from some of his teammates was displayed on their Twitter accounts this morning.

Linebacker Brian Orakpo was the first Redskin to chime in this morning.  He referred to the duo as the “IR Clique” after both players were on the Reserve/Injured List last season.

Only about 30 minutes later, offensive tackle Trent Williams was so excited he couldn’t even get back to sleep after hearing the news of Davis returning in the burgundy and gold.

In five seasons with the Redskins, Davis has 155 receptions with 12 touchdowns and is likely to reach 2,000 career receiving yards in 2013.

Good article, only problem, Trent Williams plays left tackle not guard. Good read though.
