By now, Redskins Nation is very familiar with QB Robert Griffin III‘s obsession with his “Superman Socks”, seen above sporting them on stage while accepting the Heisman Trophy in 2011.

Although his allegiance seems to lie with the DC Comic superhero, a recent tweet from ESPN’s Katie Linendoll suggests he may need to look into also supporting Marvel hero Captain America.

Griffin III retweeted this link to his followers, which sends fans right to a page where they can purchase socks that’ll make any Redskins fan feel like they are running as fast as the Redskins quarterback did on his 76-yard touchdown run Week 6 against the Vikings.

Griffin III may still be thinking about adding these to his collection, however don’t be surprised if you see running back Alfred Morris get his hands on these first.  As you might remember, the record-setting running back fully committed to his Halloween costume last season when the team made a visit to the pediatric unit at Georgetown Hospital.
