Another week, another opponent defeated by Robert Griffin III in the Madden 25 cover bracket. In Griffin III’s round of 64 matchup against fellow NFL sophomore gunslinger Ryan Tannehill, the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year took home nearly 90 percent of the vote.
In his second round duel against another 2012 NFL Draft first round pick, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin, Griffin III got over 75 percent of the vote to catapult him into a Sweet Sixteen matchup against another tailback.
Unlike the first two rounds where he was pitted against men who only had one year’s experience on the professional level, Griffin III is going up against seasoned veteran Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens.
Redskins fans may remember Rice from his cameo at FedExField this past December. Those same fans will also remember that the Redskins would crush the hopes of any Baltimore fans that traveled to Redskins territory that day after the Burgundy and Gold would add the Ravens to their list of team’s defeated during their epic late-season winning streak to end to the 2012 campaign.
Find out how Griffin III stacks up against Rice and why you should continue to help him move on to the next round in the bracket.
Seriously, who wouldn’t want to make a play like that on Madden 25 with Griffin III’s beautiful throwing motion plastered on the cover.
Or maybe they’ll try to slow him down just long enough to hit him in stride after blowing past opposing defenses for another chance to get that “perfect” photo for the cover.
Now I know I showed you that run as part of the campaign for Griffin III last week, but I could seriously watch that run over and over again and never get tired of it.
While Griffin III has clearly won over the heart of Redskins Nation, defeating Rice won’t be an easy task.
For starters, the five-year pro from Rutgers University has posted four straight 1,000 yard seasons and been elected to represent the AFC in the Pro Bowl three times.
In 2012, Rice led the Ravens in rushing with 1,143 yards and nine touchdowns. However, despite the fact that Rice’s main job is to carry the rock, he only had 328 more rushing yards than number 10.
And only one more rushing touchdown too.
And last I checked he came nowhere near 3,200 passing yards.
So Redskins Nation, its time to show your love for Griffin III and vote him into to the next round.
