Redskins Nation once again proved to be the best fan base in the world, flexing their social media muscles by voting stud quarterback Robert Griffin III to a landslide victory over Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill to advance to the second round of the Madden 25 cover vote.

To no ones surprise, Griffin III ran past his fellow 2012 NFL Draft colleague, receiving 87 percent of the vote and upholding his spot as a number one seed on the “new school” portion of the bracket.

Thanks to you, Griffin III advances to take on a fellow second-year pro, Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin.

Can’t wait to wear your Burgundy and Gold number 10 jersey while playing as the Redskins with Griffin III on the cover? Find out how you can make it happen here!

I could sit here all day and run through the list of all of Griffin III’s accomplishments during his debut season, but I honestly don’t have time to write the endless amount of accolades the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year has received since being drafted last April.

Instead, we’ll just highlight some of Griffin III’s greatest moments this year, and even then it is difficult to consolidate his reel of fantastic plays.

In his professional debut in New Orleans, he tossed a pair of  touchdown passes in a 40-32 victory over the Saints, including this 88 yard bomb to Pierre Garcon.

In Week 6, he torched a Minnesota Vikings playoff caliber defense for a truly amazing 76-yard touchdown dash that left Redskins fans jumping with joy and the Vikings stunned.

How about his first primetime game cameo in a homecoming against archrival Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day, lighting them up for four touchdown passes, or leading the cavalry to their first NFC East title since 1999?

He amassed 20 touchdowns, 3,200 yards, and a 102.4 quarterback rating  through the air along with 815 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground in 15 regular season games and was the key component in revolutionizing Washington’s offense. He was the catalyst of a top five unit that ranked first overall in rushing with 169.3 yards per game.

Martin was fantastic in his first year as well as he finished fifth overall in rushing with 1,454 yards and also collected 11 touchdowns, but does that make him a better candidate than Griffin III for Madden 25?

You be the judge.

Click on the link here to vote for the matchup between the two NFL sophomores. Voting runs until March 27th. And while you’re in the mood for brackets, take a look at the best Redskins draft classes of all-time.

Hail to the Redskins!
