At 6-4, 266 pounds, freshly re-signed Washington Redskins outside linebacker Rob Jackson is an imposing physical specimen.

Now imagine for a moment that he dresses up like a leprechaun, sneaks into your home for St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans and malarkey, and then leaves as abruptly as he appeared.

That’s pretty much what the amusing folks over at Funny or Die came up with, in a segment that aired last night for the first time on ESPNU.

Blacken’s Passion Extends Beyond Field

Posted by Stephen Czarda on March 14, 2013 – 2:07 pm

On Wednesday, the Washington Redskins announced the return of former strength and conditioning coach Malcolm Blacken to the Nation’s Capital.

Blacken has twice appeared in burgundy and gold as he was under head coach Norv Turner from 1996-2000 and was part of head coach Mike Shanahan‘s revamped vision for the three-time Super Bowl winning franchise in 2010.

Griffin III proved once again that he can be a good-luck charm, as the Baylor Bears (18-13) shocked the visiting Kansas Jayhawks (26-5), 81-58, to keep the Jayhawks from the Big 12 regular-season title.

It turns out that Griffin III provided the team with more than a familiar face in the crowd.

He actually gave the underdog Bears a pep talk at the Bears’ last practice (via SI columnist Seth Davis, who interviewed Baylor coach Scott Drew after the game): Read more »

Not every charity has a happy inspiration, but Redskins’ defensive end Stephen Bowen would like to provide peace to families that might not otherwise be so fortunate.

The boys were born prematurely at just 24 weeks, and entered immediately into the fight of their young lives.

Weeks later, Skyler developed an infection that his underdeveloped immune system was unable to fight, and he passed away.

Understanding how fortunate they were cover the medical and funeral costs of their child, Stephen and Tiffany developed a plan to turn their loss into a saving grace for others. Read more »
