Welcome to your weekly Redskins Social Media Spotlight, where we highlight the trendy topics and social media campaigns going on this week in Redskins Nation. Check it out and make suggestions below.
We just returned from a fun-filled, eventful, but frigid trip to Indianapolis for the 2013 NFL Combine. Lucky for Redskins fans, we have regained feeling in our fingers and toes so that we can bring you this week’s “Redskins Social Media Weekly Spotlight”, featuring burgundy and gold updates from the red carpet at the Oscars, Combine news and player reactions, and bring you up to speed on how Redskins players are spending their offseason!
In case you missed it, third-generation Washingtonian, Steve Fine, donned his QB Robert Griffin III “No Pressure No Diamonds” socks on the red carpet to last night’s Oscars. Read the incredible story behind the Oscar-winning director here then check out the socks below:
Now if you remember, last week’s Social Media Weekly Spotlight highlighted a gentleman at a local service station asking Fletcher his plans for return. So go ahead and slap the #CantEscapeTheQuestion hashtag on this one, too, and keep directing those tweets towards the veteran linebacker. Maybe, just maybe, it will make number 59s decision to return a little bit easier.
Whether your interested in the Combine or not, intrigued by what’s happening or bored by it, we’d be doing you all a disservice if this weekly spotlight didn’t have at least some element of the NFL Combine and the on goings in Indianapolis.
Needless to say, former college athletes aren’t the only ones taking the Wonderlic test this week at the NFL Combine!
And now what the Redskins players are saying. Here it is, QB Kirk Cousins giving his thoughts on the Combine.
Apparently, S Jordan Bernstine was watching those wide receivers run sub-4.4 40-yard dashes. In actuality, more than five players ran times faster than 4.4 which is unprecedented and here’s Bernstine’s reaction:
Those WR's out there Rollin at the combine tho. Alright I see ya.👀—

CB Richard Crawford also chimed in about the unprecedented fast times, claiming Titans RB Chris Johnson ran faster than his clocked 4.24 second 40-yard dash in 2008.
What was cj unofficial cats are running low 4.2s and end up with 4.2 high or low 4.3. He must of went 4.15 or so hand time—

Nonetheless, fast times are being turned in at this year’s NFL Combine, but the question remains, do fast times translate to pads and on field production? The answer is to be determined.
Well, that’s a wrap for this week’s Social Media Weekly Spotlight!
