As the DMV slowly dethaws from the blistering cold weather this past week, forecasts predict warmer weather upon the horizon. While the NFL season come to a conclusion this weekend, thoughts are beginning to shift towards spring and summer plans.
While the NFL is no doubt the best league in the United States, as the season ends and the temperatures rise, spring brings one of the best times of the year for sports fans.
The NFL Draft, MLB Opening Day, NCAA March Madness, the NBA playoffs, and the NHL Playoffs are among the best sporting spectacles of the season.
However, as the thermometer increases the grass isn’t the only green that can be seen. The Masters is internationally recognized for its green jacket given to the winner of the prestigious tournament.
The PGA Tour “chipped” into full force this past weekend and perked the interest of two Redskins players.
Find out what the players had to say here about their “driving” desire of the game:
Redskins running back Evan Royster was glued to the television set as Tiger Woods was able to claim victory in the first PGA event of the year. Woods has been an inspiration to so many golfers over the years and it looks like Royster has also become re-inspired by his performance.
He wasn’t the only Redskins player who got a “slice” of the action as safety Reed Doughty caught an eye-full of the event.
While its a “fore”-gone conclusion that the golfers on the tour have the ability to shoot record-setting numbers below par, Doughty is just hoping to shoot below 90!
Luckily for both men, the forecast is calling for beautiful weather, or for them, “golf weather”.
Hopefully both Evan and Reed will be able to catch a “break” and hit the links while the weather is good!
Hey, I wonder if they’re up for a “skins” match together?
Remember boys, just tap it in!
