When you think of a Washington Redskins player’s workout routine, what do you picture?
Lifting exorbitant amount of weight bench pressing? Spending countless hours in the weight room doing biceps curls and squats?
While the players do indeed continue to weight lift during the offseason, after months of wear and tear on their bodies, they look for different ways to heal their bodies while still being able to train.
Sometimes, their training methods can be a little, lets say, unorthodox, at least for what you might expect.

As you can see, Brian Orakpo has taken to cycling as part of his offseason workout routine. Orakpo has been looking for ways to keep in shape since he suffered a season-ending injury in week two. Thankfully, Brian always knows safety first as he is wearing his helmet.
Kicking in the NFL is no easy task. It requires a high level of concentration, strength, and even flexibility. Kai knows this and has taken to yoga during the offseason to keep that golden leg of his in shape.
Luckily for Kai, he doesn’t have to worry about taking of his shoes before hitting the mat!
Kedric Golston and Lorenzo Alexander are two of the longest tenured Redskins on the roster. They know that the offseason is important for staying in shape and preparing for the next season and believe it or not, they are also certified Pilates instructors.
After seeing results due to the incorporation of Pilates into their workout routines, together, they opened a Pilates studio.
Hopefully Lorenzo’s Pilates workout is preparing him to show off his best “beach body” in a few weeks when he plays in the Pro Bowl.
