In what will likely be the first round of several accolades for both teammates this offseason, Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and running back Alfred Morris on Thursday were named to the Pro Football Weekly/Pro Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team.

Griffin III was the only quarterback selected for this list, while Morris was joined by fellow rookie standout running back Doug Martin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Here’s what Pro Football Weekly had to say about the two Redskins representatives on this list:

About Griffin III:

“Redskins QB Robert Griffin III emerged from the three-quarterback race to win the overall and Offensive Rookie of the Year, earning him the nod as the All-Rookie signalcaller, beating out [Andrew] Luck and Russell Wilson. Griffin’s stats were off the charts, setting rookie records in touchdown-to-interception ratio, rushing yards for a rookie QB and passer rating, all while leading the Redskins to a division title.”

About Morris:

“Griffin’s backfield mate in Washington joins him on the All-Rookie team. RB Alfred Morris’ 1,613 rushing yards rank third all-time for rookies, and he was second in the NFL with 13 rushing touchdowns.”

Both Griffin III and Morris are also nominated for the NFL Rookie of the Year award, which is determined by a fan vote. Griffin III — who became the Redskins’ first-ever rookie voted to the Pro Bowl — won the NFL Rookie of the Week award seven times in 2012, while Morris — voted an alternate for the Pro Bowl — won it on three occasions.

Fans can vote for both Griffin III and Morris as the NFL Rookie of the Year by clicking here. The voting period ends at 9 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, and the winner of the award will be announced in New Orleans, the site of Super Bowl XLVII, at NFL Honors, a two-hour primetime awards special to air nationally from 9 to 11 p.m. Feb. 2 on CBS.
