Kai Forbath Gives Away First Kicking Cleat

When we last checked in with Redskins kicker Kai Forbath he was on quite a roll, making the first 14 field goals of his career, while at the same time hoping to boost his Twitter followers from just around 8,500 to 15,000 and give away the first kicking cleat he ever used with the Redskins.

Since then, Forbath finished the season strong, nailing 17-of-18 field goals, and has made quite a surge on social media as well. He has almost 16,500 followers on Twitter and, as promised, posed just one question for fans to answer in order to give away the first cleat he ever kicked with.

Just 38 seconds later Forbath received the correct answer from life-long Redskins fan Elissa Purdy:

Before mailing it to her house he said he felt bad that the shoe was dirty, and almost cleaned it before sending it her way.  Luckily, he kept the authentic FedExField debris on the cleat and awarded her the prize.

Fans following along may have thought that Forbath was done, but 38 seconds just wasn’t a long enough trivia night.  He decided to throw some more questions at Redskins nation and give away some signed photos.

Looks like he gave away half of the answer but Josh Holman was able to figure out his favorite food:

In the meantime, Forbath plans on heading back to California this offseason because in his words he’s “got to get back to the beach” (who can blame him though, right?).

No matter where he’s located, a follow of @KaiForbath and obscure knowledge of his preferences and teammates could land you some authentic Redskins swag.
