The Battle of the Beltway is underway.

And after one quarter here at FedExField, the Washington Redskins (6-6) lead the Baltimore Ravens (9-3), 14-7.

The opening coin toss was won by the Ravens, who deferred to the second half and giving the ball to the Redskins to start the game.

Here’s some of the key plays from each drive of the first quarter.

Redskins’ First Drive — Key Plays:

Kickoff: Goes out of the back of the end zone; touchback.
1st and 10 >20: Running back Alfred Morris chugs ahead for a 29-yard gain. I guess that’s one way to set the tone.
1st and 10 >49: Morris gets 21 yards on another run, but holding is called on Pierre Garcon.
1st and 10 <48: Robert Griffin III to Garcon for 12 yards — redemption for the wide receiver.
3rd and 2 <30: Read-option to Morris, who gets six yards and the first down.
1st and 10 <19: Griffin III to Garcon, who gets 23 yards to the one-yard line.
1st and Goal <1: Morris is tripped up by Griffin III, loss of three yards.
2nd and Goal <4: Griffin III’s pass to Leonard Hankerson floats off his hands.
3rd and Goal <4: Griffin III four-yard touchdown pass to Joshua Morgan.
Extra point: good by kicker Kai Forbath.

Redskins 7, Ravens 0; Scoring drive: 10 plays, 80 yards, 5:20

Ravens’ First Drive — Key Plays:

Kickoff: Sticks at the 1-yard line, returned to the 19.
1st and 10 <19: Ray Rice runs for five yards to the 24.
2nd and 5 <24: Rice rumbles, cuts his way for a 46-yard gain. That is scary.
1st and 10 >30: Rice rumbles, again, for 12 yards.
2nd and 11 >19: Joe Flacco with a 19-yard touchown to wide receiver Anquan Boldin
Extra point: good by kicker Justin Tucker.

Redskins 7, Ravens 7; Scoring drive: 5 plays, 81 yards, 2:33

Redskins’ Second Drive — Key Plays:

Kickoff: Returned by Niles Paul to the Redskins’ 17-yard line.
1st and 10 >17: Griffin III’s pass to Paul falls incomplete. Paul slips on the turf as he went to plant.
2nd and 10 >17: Griffin III finds Santana Moss for a 31-yard pass-and-catch before he’s pushed out of bounds at the Washington 48-yard line.
2nd and 13 >45: Griffin III finds Hankerson for a 29-yard gain across the middle to the Baltimore 26-yard line.
1st and 10 <26: Griffin III to Morgan for another
1st and Goal <1: Morris 1-yard touchdown run.
Extra point: good by Forbath.

Redskins 14, Ravens 7; Scoring drive: 7 plays, 83 yards, 4:10.

Ravens’ Second Drive — Key Plays:

Kickoff: returned to the 32-yard line.
1st and 15 <27: (After false start) Flacco goes over the top to Torrey Smith, but the pass is broken up by cornerback Josh Wilson. Nice battle by Wilson, as Smith had a possible touchdown.
3rd and 12 <31: Nine-yard pass from Flacco to tight end Dennis Pitta
Punt: Richard Crawford returns to the Washington 27-yard line.

Redskins’ Third Drive — Key Plays:

1st and 10 >27: Griffin III sacked by Paul Kruger for a loss of eight yards. Good coverage on the play by the deensive backs.
2nd and 18 >19: Morris rushes for 11 yards. He’s having a great game so far.
