VIDEO: Gibbs On Cowboys, Chapel
Posted by on November 20, 2012 – 6:43 pmIt’s a safe bet to say Joe Gibbs knows a thing or two about the Redskins-Cowboys rivalry.
Gibbs — the legendary Redskins coach who won three Super Bowl titles with the team in the 1980s and early 1990s — stopped by Redskins Park for a visit today and spoke with Larry Michael, the Voice of the Redskins, about that rivalry with the Cowboys.
“I think that’s probably one of the things that people ask me [about what] I miss is that, it’s the great rivalry between the Cowboys and the Redskins,” Gibbs said. “One thing about that game: you’re either a Redskin or you’re a Cowboy — there’s nobody in-between.”
Gibbs also cleared the air on a recent report that he gave the Cowboys a pregame speech earlier this season.
“Please set this straight. I did a chapel service,” Gibbs said with a smile. “I was talking about the Lord. Not anything about football.”
Here’s the full interview with Michael, which took place in front of those three beautiful Lombardi Trophies:
