Washington Redskins alumni Roy Jefferson and Ron McDole — each of whom were named among the 80 Greatest Redskins of all-time — will be making appearances at Washington, D.C.- area stores this Saturday and signing bottles of RESERVE, the Redskins’ 80th-anniversary commemorative wine.

With his long, graceful strides and sure hands, Roy “Sweet Pea” Jefferson was a go-to guy on the receiving end for the Redskins in the 1970s. Playing in D.C. from 1971 to 1976, he caught 208 passes for 3,119 yards and 16 touchdowns and was a consistent threat who helped increase the Redskins’ level of success during the historic era of coach George Allen, when they went to the playoffs five times, including an appearance in Super Bowl VII.
Defensive end Ron McDole — Saturday, Nov. 17; 2-4 p.m.

A stout defender against the run, Ron “Dancing Bear” McDole played 18 years in the NFL, and from 1971 through 1978 was a key member of the Redskins’ defense. He holds the NFL record for the most interceptions by a lineman with 12 and was a critical part of the Redskins’ Super Bowl VII team.
