The Washington Humane Society (WHS) is ready for Washington Redskins football!

The WHS mobile adoption van, Adopt Force One, is rolling into FedExField with some furry friends for four upcoming Redskins home games. Tailgaters will be able to meet and greet with WHS staff and volunteers promoting local animal adoptions.

Guests will get nose-to-nose with cats and dogs looking for their forever homes.

As part of its mission to save animals’ lives and build more families in the nation’s capital, WHS hosts off-site adoption events at a variety of DC-area venues to introduce pets to potential adopters. When people have the opportunity to meet animals outside the shelter environment it is easier for them to get to know them in a more personal way.

Touch down with Adopt Force One from 9 am to 2 pm at FedExField Gate H at the following games, which are each scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.:

– Nov. 4 vs. the Carolina Panthers
– Nov. 18 vs. the Philadelphia Eagles
– Dec. 9 vs. the Baltimore Ravens
– Dec. 30 vs. the Dallas Cowboys

Love animals but can’t make the games? Chase down Adopt Force One on Facebook and Twitter, using the hashtag #AdoptForceOne.

The Washington Humane Society (WHS) is the only Congressionally-chartered animal welfare agency in the United States and has been the leading voice for animals in the District of Columbia since 1870. WHS provides protection and care to nearly 30,000 animals each year through its broad range of programs and services including: sheltering, adoption, humane law enforcement, spay and neuter, humane education, human – animal rehabilitation programs and lost and found services.
