Memory Lane For Bruce & George Allen

The Washington Redskins’ annual Homecoming Weekend festivities get underway in a couple of days, so who better to take a walk down Redskins memory lane than two sons of one of the greatest coaches in franchise history?
Bruce Allen — the current general manager of the Redskins — and George Allen — the former governor of Virginia — took a stroll down the “Hail To The Redskins Walk” yesterday at Redskins Park, and Redskins.com was there with our cameras.
The Allen’s father, George, who lived by the mantra “the future is now,” was a 2002 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee who compiled a 116-47-5 regular season record as the Redskins’ head coach from 1971 through 1977.

Why not get new uniforms, Mr. Allen. We are tired of the drab Yellow pants and
Red Jerseys. You would do well to get back to what you dad had in 1971
that Yellow Helmet with an “R” or go back to the 1965 Jurgensen era of
Deep Burgandy helmet and what ever.
Every team is doing throw backs, look at the Giants, Jets, Tampa Bay.

we are kinda the yellow and red instead of the burgundy and gold. If a change of uniform would help the defense, I’d go for it!. Defense is worse than the Bad news bears.
